A.     Definisi Hemofilia. Hemofilia adalah gangguan pendarahan konginetal gen X yang disebabkan oleh defisiensi faktor koagulasi VIII (Hemofilia A) atau Faktor IX (Hemofilia B). Defisiensi ini adalah hasil mutasi gen faktor pembekuan darah (Srivastava et al, 2012). Hemofilia biasanya menyebabkan sulitnya darah koagulasi sehingga menyebabkan pendarahan spontan pada otot, sendi, atau organ internal. Diperlukan terapi preventif untuk mencegah pendarahan berulang dengan faktor koagulasi (Bauer, 2015). B.      Etiologi. Hemofilia mempengaruhi Laki-laki dari gen carrier ibu. Gen Faktor VIII dan gen Faktor IX rentan terhadap mutasi, dan sebanyak 1/3 dari semua kasus adalah hasil mutasi spontan dimana sebelumnya tidak ada riwayat keluarga (Srivastava et al, 2012).
